Bodden Partners Successfully Defends Israel Tourism Account

March 31, 2010 (New York, NY)—Bodden Partners, a NY-based full-service marketing communications agency, announced that it has been again selected by the Israel Ministry of Tourism to handle the country’s North and South American advertising account.

Bodden was chosen after Israel Tourism’s mandatory tender period, which included a national search and final competition among six agencies. Their work was presented to the tender committee in New York which reduced the number of contenders to three. These agencies’ work was presented in Israel to the Minister of Tourism for a final decision.

Bodden, or one of its principals, has worked on the Israel Ministry of Tourism account for almost 20 years, creating four highly regarded campaigns including; “No one belongs here more than you” and “Whatever, it’s all beautiful,” both of which ran for five years each.

The most recent campaigns were “Israel. Who Knew?” and “You’ll love Israel from the first Shalom,” each of which was successful in increasing tourism to Israel from North America. Following the Shalom campaign, travel from North America to Israel reached its highest levels ever, with 2008 and 2009 being the biggest years on record.

“It’s very simple—they (Bodden Partners) came up with the best campaign, period,” said Arie Sommer, Consul, Commissioner of Tourism, North and South America, at the Israel Ministry of Tourism.

Based on criteria from Israel, Bodden Partners used extensive research to develop unique insights into the North American traveler to ensure that the new campaign will resonate with them.

“We are delighted that our wonderful relationship will continue,” said Bodden President and Chief Creative Officer Chris Bodden. “We believe the creative is some of the best we’ve produced for any client and we’re thrilled the tender committee thought so as well. We are absolutely committed to our clients and we know we can help Israel achieve its goal of a million North American tourists annually by 2012.”

The new Israel Tourism campaign is expected to launch around the beginning of the second quarter of 2010.
